Toshiyuki Kita’s Wakamaru robot has been around for more than three years and the soon-to-be robot overlord will begin its reign of tyranny at Japanese retailer UNIQLO’s NYC Soho store. I live a block up the street from said store, so I’ll check it out next week when the robot fleet is deployed. It’s still unclear exactly how the robot will help one shop, but we’ll find out soon.
