Ah, nothing like unwinding at the end of the day by watching some TV in your home theater while looking out your windows at the sun setting over the beautiful Coruscant skyline. That’s what Steve Simon gets to do in part of his garage, which has been remodeled into a home theater resembling Chancellor Palpatine’s office from Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith.
The work was done by Miami-based DreamSpace along with Cinema Design Group International (CDGi). The “windows” in the room are actually sound-absorbing acoustical panels that have images of the Imperial City printed on them via a dye sublimation process.
As far as the electronics go, there’s a Marantz VP11S2 DLP Projector, 103-inch Vutec XFH Screen, B&W speakers (front, side, center, and rear channels), and two Velodyne DD10 subwoofers.
