Microsoft Taking Xbox 360 System Software Update Beta Signups

Do you want to be a part of the new Xbox 360 System Update Preview program? You can! Well, provided you sign up and are selected. (Incidentally, Greg just signed up and was selected a few moments ago.)

There’s not much to it. You go to the signup site, enter your info, then cross your fingers and hope Microsoft selects you.

Major Nelson, that great Microsoft ambassador, says they’re looking for “multiple thousands of participants,” so it’s not like we’re talking PowerBall odds here.

What’s part of the new system? Oh, things like ESPN integration and a brand new Dashboard.

(I love how Major Nelson has to stress this is not for Kinect!)

So yeah, sign up if you want a crack at the preview.

The new System Software should be available in November if all goes according to plan.
