uCIRRUS, which markets real-time enterprise operating software dubbed PUSHvm, this morning announced that it has closed a $4 million funding round led by SK telecom Ventures and joined by Qualcomm Ventures and ATA Ventures.
The company says the fresh capital will be used to accelerate the product roadmap for PUSHvm, which powers real-time datastream processing and delivery of large volumes of customized data for its clients, thus reducing their infrastructure costs.
uCIRRUS CEO Peter Richards:
We enable massive high-volume ingest of streaming enterprise or device data; low-latency, customer-enabled real-time application processing on the streaming data before it is committed to storage systems – thereby making stored data more relevant; and interactive, real-time customizable streaming data delivery and notification capabilities to multiple large audiences.
Helping the company achieve their product development and explains plans will be Rob Trice of SK telecom ventures, who will join uCIRRUS’ board of directors. Mike Hodges of ATA Ventures and Jack Young of Qualcomm Ventures will join as board observers.
This funding round brings the total of capital raised by uCIRRUS to $5.7 million.
