Sharp's "Bisqui Phon" Looks Like A Biscuit

That wooden cell phone wasn’t the only silly cell phone Sharp introduced today in Japan. It was actually joined by a slightly sillier handset, the so-called “Bisqui Phon”. Yes, it’s shaped like a biscuit for some reason. Sharp seems to like manufacturing these things.

Spec-wise, the Bisqui Phon is better than its wooden counterpart. It comes with a 3.2-inch screen with 480×854 resolution, a 9.6MP CCD camera, a 1.4-inch OLED subscreen, and it’s waterproof (IPX5/IPX7). Buyers can also expect “sweet” pre-installed content, such as wall papers (see picture below).

Like the wooden cell phone, the Bisqui Phon is limited to 15,000 units. Japanese mobile carrier NTT Docomo will start distributing the handset in Japan next month in milk and chocolate flavors.
