13 European Student-Run Startups Get $100K Each From Founder.org

Thirteen European startups to have been awarded $100,000 each by Founder.org, the investor in student entrepreneurs based out of universities. The winners included:

Volumental from Sweden is a cloud-based 3D scanner, which originally started as part of a research project Kinect@Home at KTH, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. It’s now working on personalised footwear.

Konux from Germany: Konux plans to disrupt the sensor market by providing “faster, more robust, simpler solution which is adoptable to a wide range of application areas.”

Bio-Bean from the UK. Turning coffee waste from the thousands of coffee shops around London into biofuel.
