Darren Gruber

Darren Gruber is a Technical Advisor at MongoDB, where he provides strategic guidance and technical leadership on the company’s most critical security initiatives. Reporting directly to MongoDB’s CISO, Darren has served as the incident commander for multiple high-stakes security events, directing threat hunting efforts and coordinating with critical stakeholders during critical situations. Currently Darren is leading MongoDB’s generative AI security research, leading efforts to both assess emerging threats and to develop comprehensive internal policies to ensure gen AI’s safe and responsible use across MongoDB. In addition to MongoDB, Darren has almost 20 years of experience across diverse regulated industries, including pharmaceuticals (Pfizer), healthcare (Flatiron Health), biometric identity (CLEAR), and HR technology (ADP, Namely). He is also experienced in cloud security architecture and scaling containerized workloads.
