Dharmesh joined Battery Ventures in 2015 and focuses on early-stage and growth investments in areas including cloud infrastructure, big data/AI, security and next-generation enterprise applications. His investment style is shaped by his experiences as an immigrant and entrepreneur, and he supports visionary founders building impactful businesses globally. Dharmesh is actively involved with Battery portfolio companies Arize, Collibra, Contrast Security, Cypress.io, Databricks, Galileo, Gong.io, Guardsquare, InfluxData, LinearB, Machinify, Matillion, Narvar, Neuron7, Normalyze, Opal Security, Ordr, Orkes, Postman, Styra, Theta Lake, and Weaviate.
Dharmesh also previously backed Bionic (Acquired by CrowdStrike), Bridgecrew (acquired by Palo Alto Networks), Confluent (NASDAQ: CFLT), Fungible (acquired by Microsoft), JASK (acquired by Sumo Logic), JFrog (NASDAQ: FROG), Sensu (acquired by Sumo Logic), StreamSets (acquired by Software AG), Sumo Logic (NASDAQ: SUMO) and Reflektion (acquired by Sitecore).
Prior to Battery, Dharmesh was a managing director at Intel Capital, and before that spent almost a decade in product management and go-to-market roles with enterprise-software companies like Keynote Systems (Nasdaq: KEYN), Manhattan Associates (Nasdaq: MANH) and two other startups leading to their acquisition. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a BS in electrical engineering, Dharmesh also holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
