Ghalia Aamer is the founder of TalkMaze, an edtech company that instills confidence in children globally through public speaking and debate training. Ghalia has been passionate about entrepreneurship since she started her first business in the education sector at 13. Now, as the founder of TalkMaze, Ghalia combines her 8+ years of public speaking and debate experience with her drive for business to empower children around the world. In addition to running her company while being a full-time university student, Ghalia advocates for underrepresented entrepreneurs. She represented Canada as the country’s youngest delegate and policy lead at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance Summit, championing recommendations around inclusion. She also sits as the youngest member of both Junior Achievement’s Board of Directors and Edmonton Unlimited’s Innovation Growth Council as a voice for youth, women, and visible minorities. In her free time, Ghalia enjoys traveling and learning new languages. She has visited 17 countries and is currently learning her fourth language, Spanish.
