Jason Warner is a Managing Director at Redpoint Ventures on the Early-Growth team. After many years as a tech industry veteran and angel investor, Jason joined Redpoint where he invests in open-source technology, developer tools, infrastructure systems, fintech, crypto, and companies started by exceptional founders. Prior to joining Redpoint, Jason was CTO at GitHub where he was responsible for all aspects of GitHub’s product vision, strategy, and execution, bringing products like GitHub Actions, Packages, Advanced Security, Connect, Codespaces to market and incubating experimental projects like GitHub Co-pilot. He also led GitHub Security, Infrastructure and Data groups to ensure a seamless and trusted experience for developers all around the world. Prior to joining GitHub, Jason was VP of Engineering at Heroku; he also oversaw Product Engineering for Ubuntu Desktop and Ubuntu Phone at Canonical. Jason started his career with IBM working in IT and system administration. Jason has angel invested in companies such as Temporal, Census, Hex, Tinybird, Common Room, Meroxa, Railway, Supabase, Rewatch.tv, Sym, Endgame, Stytch, Meticulous, GraphCDN, Infra, Drata, and others. Jason graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelors in Computer Science and received a Masters of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic University.
