Jon Jones
Vice President and Global Head of Startups at AWS, Amazon Web Services
Jon Jones is the Vice President and Global Head of Startups at AWS, where he leads the teams that help companies in all startup stages maximize the benefits of AWS Services. He also leads the relationships AWS has with venture capital firms that support startups across the world. He previously led the global AWS Go-to-Market and Specialist teams, including Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Containers, Serverless, Outposts, High Performance Computing, Networking, Autonomous Vehicles, Spot, Quantum Computing.
Prior to Amazon, Jon built Google’s first U.S.-based startup Accelerator as part of the Google Developer Launchpad program and is a two-time startup founder. Before joining the startup ranks, Jon spent over ten years leading Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Business Development teams for global infrastructure companies.
Jon is very passionate about leveraging technology for good. He has spoken about this topic globally, including at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where he discussed the importance of getting technology into the hands of entrepreneurs and organizations who can help us solve the world’s biggest challenges.
Jon has an MBA from Wharton and is based in Seattle, Washington.
