Jonathan Hurst

Bruce Leak is a Founding Partner at Playground Global. His fascination with emerging technology has been a constant throughout his career, from the early days of Apple and Microsoft, to entrepreneurship, to his time at Playground investing in complex ideas with the potential to change the world. During his time at Apple, Bruce is credited with making several major advances in the Macintosh operating system and is perhaps best known for his groundbreaking work in multimedia, as creator of QuickTime. Bruce was also a member of the General Magic team, which set out to develop a colored gaming platform. He then went on to be Co-Founder of WebTV, which was acquired by Microsoft and shipped some of the first DVR products. After founding several start-ups, Bruce co-founded Playground Global—the venture firm he wished existed when he was building his own company. He currently sits on the board of Agility Robotics, Fabric, FarmWise, Pandion and Rapid SOS. Bruce is also a passionate conservationist, focused on protecting natural habitats and supporting animal sanctuaries.
