Kevin Dunlap is co-founder and managing partner of Calibrate Ventures. He has been collaborating with exceptional founders for over 20 years, guiding their businesses from initial concepts to successful billion-dollar exits. Kevin provides strategic operational guidance and access to an extensive network of operators, investors, and partners.
Kevin started his career as an engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he developed a deep understanding of automation and AI technologies. His passion lies in helping founders transform their innovations into profitable companies that revolutionize industries and impact lives. Prior to co-founding Calibrate, Kevin previously served as managing director at Shea Ventures, where he supported companies such as Ring, Solar City, and Chegg. He is a board member at Realized and Soft Robotics, and a board observer at GrayMatter Robotics, Parallel Domain, Rangeview, and Trellis.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys spending time at the beach with his wife and two young children. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University at Buffalo and an MS in Financial Engineering from the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.
