Naqi Khan, MD, MS

Dr. Naqi Khan is a physician specializing in clinical informatics, who currently leads health AI initiatives for real-world evidence platform development and biomedical natural language processing at Microsoft Health & Life Sciences. Previously, Dr. Khan led projects in clinical decision support, clinical AI, and consumer health informatics for Kaiser Permanente (KP) Southern California. He helped develop KP’s strategy and design of machine learning-powered solutions targeting areas of virtualized care and clinical charting improvement. Prior to his time at KP, Dr. Khan led company-wide interoperability and clinical knowledge engineering initiatives as Director of Medical Informatics at MCG Health (part of Hearst Health). Dr. Khan earned his M.D. from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, a M.S. in biomedical informatics from Vanderbilt University, and a B.S. in biology and information science from Cornell University.
