Yves Maitre

Yves Maitre is CEO of HTC where he oversees operations, product strategy and service development across the company’s 5G and XR portfolio. Mr. Maitre joins HTC from Orange, one of the world’s largest telecommunications firms, where he held senior executive positions for over 14 years. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President of Consumer Equipment and Partnerships, overseeing Orange’s connected technology strategy and business across all Orange markets. Maitre’s background includes deployment of the world’s largest consumer electronic brands as well as ownership of an entire portfolio of connected and mobile services. His expertise includes consumer electronics, services and B2B technology development. Maitre is recognized as a creative visionary with strong leadership. Maitre first started working with HTC upon his appointment as Senior Vice President for Devices in 2005; a collaboration that has continued over his career. Throughout his tenure, he consistently delivered innovative services and devices in a growing range of responsibilities across the business and was the first to negotiate and deploy Android smartphones in Europe. He also served as a member of Orange’s innovation technology group, charged with developing disruptive revenue opportunities. Prior to joining Orange, Maitre spent six years working for consumer electronics company Thomson Multimedia, where he served in senior positions in the US and Singapore. He has also held roles across supply chain and product management. Today Yves sits on the board of several listed and non-listed companies. He holds an Engineering graduate master degree in Nuclear Physics and has spent his professional life in roles in Asia, the USA and Europe.
