Shenzhen offers an ecosystem like no other to support hardware startups through accelerators, rapid prototyping, and world-class manufacturing. TechCrunch is excited to bring back our TC Hardware Battlefield competition hosted in conjunction with the larger TC Shenzhen show on November 11-12. Hardware Battlefield is part of TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield series, but with a few small differences. Of course, there is the requirement that participating companies must have a hardware component to their product. That could mean anything from smart socks for diabetics to food testing devices, to malaria diagnostic tools, to e-motorcycles, robotic arms and you name it. Those are just some of the products that founders launched on stage at past Hardware Battlefields.

Around 15 companies will be selected by our editorial team to pitch to top VCs, founders and technologists from around the world. One innovative company will be selected as the Hardware Battlefield winner and will take home a check for $25,000 as well as worldwide acclaim and membership in the Startup Battlefield elite. The entire hardware Battlefield will be captured on video and published on techCrunch.
