It wouldn’t be CES without an assortment of pet tech

Humans aren’t the only creatures being pitched new innovations and upsold on technological solutions to problems they currently resolve in a more luddite fashion. Some are ridiculous, but others are addressing real concerns facing pet owners.

Take Petcube’s new water fountain, which it claims provides “nearly 100% water purification” to set it apart from the many other pet-oriented fountains out there on the market — and every cat owner knows the importance of anything that gets your cat to actually hydrate.

And then there’s the Pawport Smart Pet Door, which has been upgraded with an additional exterior door and other changes to better protect against inadvertent animal friends following after your own. Sorry, raccoons.

The birds in your yard might not technically be pets, but they still can get a lifestyle upgrade. Birdfy revealed the Bath Pro at CES, which doesn’t just capture photos and videos of the birds hanging out, but also uses AI to identify the birds’ species.
