WWDC 2025 live updates: iOS 26, Liquid Glass, Apple Intelligence updates, and everything else revealed

It’s finally time for WWDC 2025, Apple’s biggest developer conference of the year. It’s also a chance for Apple to notch a win.

There’s considerable pressure on the company to build on its promises and to make amends to developers as it lags behind in AI and faces continued legal challenges over its App Store.

WWDC begins Monday and ends Wednesday, but the main event is the keynote, which kicks off the conference at 10 a.m. PT. We’re expecting tons of reveals, so stick with us to get the latest from Apple’s big show.

  • Apple introduces a unified design across its operating systems, called ‘Liquid Glass’

“This unified design language creates a more harmonious experience as you move between products while maintaining the qualities that make each unique, inspired by the physicality and richness of vision OS,” the company says.

Apple says that the new interface acts and behaves like how glass does in the real world.

  • Devs can tap into offline AI models

Apple is launching what it calls the Foundation Models framework, which the company says will let developers tap into its AI models in an offline, on-device fashion.

Apple VP of software engineering Craig Federighi said that the Foundation Models framework will let apps use on-device AI models created by Apple to drive experiences.

  • Apple will support many more languages on Apple Intelligence

Apple SVP of Software Engineering Craig Federighi announced at the beginning of WWDC that Apple Intelligence will now support many more languages.

The list of supported languages now includes English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

This expansion of Apple Intelligence makes the technology accessible to more people.

  • Apple should make amends with developers

A year has passed since Apple hyped its AI aspirations at WWDC 2024, and the company has since struggled to deliver. Delayed features such as an overhauled Siri and underwhelming AI tools have disappointed both developers and users.

With WWDC 2025 now here, expectations are tempered. Apple faces pressure to demonstrate its competitive AI capabilities and make its ecosystem more attractive to developers, especially as regulatory changes threaten its App Store revenue and the web continues to outpace iOS as a distribution platform.

  • Welcome to WWDC 2025

WWDC 2025, Apple’s annual developers conference, begins at 10 a.m. PT, and we’re expecting quite a few announcements right off the bat.

We predict the biggest announcement will be a newly designed iOS, which reports suggest will have similar design elements to visionOS, the software powering the Apple Vision Pro. The company calls it Liquid Glass, according to Bloomberg. That means the new OS could have a transparent interface and more circular app icons that break away from the traditional square format today.

We’re also expecting a dedicated gaming app that would replace its aging Game Center app, and could include access to Apple Arcade, plus other gaming features like leaderboards, recommendations, and ways to challenge friends.

Stick with us as we cover the keynote, and more, right here.
